The 23rd South Indian Ocean Billfish Competition was held from Le Morne Anglers Club, Black River, Mauritius from the 30th January to the 5th February 2023.
19 teams from 10 different countries gathered at Le Morne Anglers Club for the 4 fishing days event.
22 Blue Marlin were released and two Blue Marlin weighing 523lb. and 654lb. were boated.
Third Place
With 4 Blue Marlin released, from Mauritius, team MY WAY, captained by Laura Hithie, with anglers Philippe Hitie, Bernard Maurel and Marc Lagane.
Runner UP
From Poland, team BI-ES, captained by Slawomir Piotrowski with anglers Carl Laboudeuse, Beata Piotrowski. They released 1 Blue Marlin and Slawomir established a new SIOBC record Blue Marlin with his 654 Lb. Catch

Team SAFARI UKRAINE with captain VALERIY DEMA and angler VALERIY SKRILOV. They released 4 Blue Marlin and boated a Blue weighing 523 Lb.
